Based on hospital’s verification, the death rate of cancer cases was 70.9%. Investigations found that source of cancer was tracked to poisonous water pollution with radiation from Baotou Steel. Local land couldn’t grow crops due to waste water pollution. Over ten years, 77 people died of cancer.
