Forward Operating Base Ramrod is in the Maywand District of Kandahar province and was initially built by the Fort Hood Bravo Company 62nd Engineer Battalion. Five US soldiers there
faced criminal charges in 2010 after allegedly using body parts of murdered Afghan civilians as trophies.
