Late in the fall of 1717, Blackbeard and his pirates made their way to the eastern Caribbean. It was here, off the island Martinique, that Blackbeard and his fellow pirates captured the French slave ship 'La Concorde'. Blackbeard kept this vesselt as his flagship and renamed it, “The Queen Anne’s Revenge.”
