ignite100 @ The Loft - North East Tech Scene (sitios de interés)

The Loft @ Adamson House, Westgate Road is the home to ignite100, 'Europe's first £1m tech accelerator programme'.

 

The 10 teams that took part in the 2011 programme are/were:

 

- ArtSpotter 'An interactive art map that enables art lovers across the world to share, explore, discover and interact with art.'

- Blink Collective 'An online marketplace for experiences. Blink Collective helps you find amazing experiences and learn new skills from real people who are passionate about sharing their expertise.'

- Blooie 'A social media platform that aims to add real substance to online conversations and insights to blog owners.'

- CrowdIPR 'A crowdsourcing platform for patents and other intellectual property rights. CrowdIPR is on a mission to make a high-quality patent and technology search accessible for anyone.'

- Givey 'A social donation platform that enables easy giving via a range of devices and methods including SMS and Tweets.'

- Odimax 'A social media intelligence service set to help businesses make sense of the millions of online conversations potentially mentioning their products or brand.'

- RentMama 'Looking to revolutionalise the car rental market, RentMama brings together car rental companies and the renters. The idea is to allow small car rental companies (25,000 in Europe alone!) to access the online market, currently dominated by the biggest rental companies.'

- Unmagnify 'The idea behind Unmagnify is based on the fact that due to the growing number of smartphones, there’s is an exponentially growing amount of personal information about us available to be analysed. Unmagnify aims to organise and cross-reference this data to help us better understand our habits, the way our bodies work etc.'

- Usable '

A software tool set to help in managing projects involving a range of stakeholders or cross-organisational working. The idea is to provide a simple way to record and control specifications and requirements making it as easy as possible to get signoff from all the stakeholders.'

- VibeTrace '

VibeTrace is an ‘eCommerce recommendation engine with a social twist’. Their first public service, Pin or Peg, is a fashion discovery platform that enables you to search for items with the help of smart recommendations based on your social networks.
