1: Stratford MUGA (Multi Use Game Area)
Eight different Olympic sports can be played at the unique all weather facility area including athletics, handball, basketball, badminton and football. It is the only one of its kind in the United Kingdom.
Mayor of Newham, Sir Robin Wales, says: "This is a fantastic free facility for everybody in the borough to use, regardless of their age or sporting ability. We witnessed an amazing Olympic and Paralympic Games in Beijing this summer and now we want to help the athletes of tomorrow reach their potential as well as seeing everyday residents getting more active."
The games area is free of charge and is designed to be used by all age groups regardless of level of ability.
An onsite notice board details scheduled activities for all.

Más sobre Star Lane Park7: Greenway
Your best route for jogging, walking and cycling! Running from Wick Lane in Tower Hamlets to Beckton, the Greenway is a traffic free route that passes by historical buildings and along peaceful waterways. The Greenway is an utterly unique stretch of east London that is a haven for wildlife.
The Greenway is an easy to find pathway with huge potential for wildlife, particularly birds and insects. There are a few diversions due to building work on the Olympic Park, but it is still the best and free view of the new Olympic Park for London 2012. The nearest station to the start at Wick Lane is Pudding Mill Lane station where the Greenway is signposted from.

A place to relax, lay down and watch the beautiful water and swans swimming. Not far from the Royal Victoria DLR station and next to the dock, is a watersports centre. Near this there is an area which locals call ‘the beach’. It is a really cool place because it is the only beach in Newham. It’s nice when you get the breeze from the water and can just stand there to reflect. There is a boat club nearby and a lot going on, though not many people know about it. It’s got stones and it’s like a beach - but it’s not exactly a real beach.

The name Plaistow was first recorded in 1414, and is thought to mean 'play place' or a place where people gathered for play. Come and play in Plaistow Park! On the grounds of a former Tudor mansion where the Essex Lodge now stands, you can enjoy being active as you explore the ornamental gardens.
Since its original layout the park has been extended in the north on the former site of a school and houses, and also at the eastern end. This extension provides sports areas and informal grass and trees in the north, and in the east a fenced play area and Playbarn building which runs children's activities.
